4 canned pineapple slices
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream (optional)
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Drain the pineapple slices from the can and pat them dry with a paper towel.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.
Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over both sides of the pineapple slices, pressing gently to adhere the sugar.
Place the pineapple slices on the preheated grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and the pineapple is slightly caramelised.
Remove the pineapple slices from the grill and let them cool for a few minutes.
Serve the grilled pineapple slices as they are, or for an extra treat, top each slice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Enjoy the grilled pineapple delight while it's still warm and enjoy the combination of the smoky grilled flavour with the sweet and tangy pineapple.
Note: You can also experiment with adding a squeeze of lime juice or a sprinkle of coconut shreds or cream for an amazing all-tropical touch!
